Who is the seller?
You are. Buyers pay straight into your bank account, so you're the seller. Ferry is the software that helps you build sales pages, take payments and deliver products.
What payment methods do you support?
Buyers scan VietQR or make a bank transfer, and the money goes straight into your account. It is the most familiar way to pay for buyers in Vietnam.
How much does Ferry charge?
5% per successful order, and that's it. For example, on a 100.000đ order you receive 100.000đ right away and pay Ferry 5.000đ at month end.
Is there a monthly subscription fee?
No. Ferry doesn't charge a subscription or setup fee. You only pay 5% when you actually make a sale.
When do I get paid?
As soon as the buyer pays. The money goes straight into your bank account; Ferry never holds your money.
What do I need to connect to get paid?
A SePay account (there's a free plan) linked to the bank account you receive into. You paste your SePay API token into Ferry, pick the receiving account, then add a webhook in SePay. It takes about 10 minutes, with step-by-step guidance in Settings → Payments. Ferry then confirms orders automatically when money arrives.
What about SePay's fees?
SePay has a free plan at 0đ/month with 50 transactions a month, including webhooks and the API. If you sell more, you upgrade and pay SePay directly (the STARTUP plan starts at 120.000đ/month). This is separate from Ferry's 5% fee. See pricing at sepay.vn/bang-gia.html.
How do I pay Ferry's 5% fee?
At the end of each month, Ferry totals the 5% fee on successful orders and sends you an invoice. You pay it by VietQR within 7 days.
What if I pay the fee late?
If it's more than 7 days overdue, your store pauses new orders until it's paid. Existing orders and buyers' access aren't affected.
Who issues invoices and declares taxes?
You. As the seller, you invoice buyers and file your own taxes. Ferry provides revenue reports and data exports so this is quick and accurate.
How do refunds work?
You transfer the money back to the buyer yourself, then mark the order as refunded in Ferry. The 5% fee on the refunded amount is credited back on that month's fee invoice.
How many products can I sell?
Unlimited. Every account can list an unlimited number of products under the same single fee.
Can I stop selling at any time?
Yes. Since there's no subscription contract, you can unpublish a product or stop selling anytime at no cost.
Do I have access to my buyer data?
Yes. You can see every order, your revenue, and buyer contact details (when they opt in) right in your dashboard, and export a CSV anytime.
Are there any other hidden fees?
No. Apart from 5% per successful order, Ferry charges no subscription, setup or feature-unlock fee. If you go beyond SePay's free plan, you pay SePay's fee directly to SePay.
Can I sell on Ferry if I don't have a registered business yet?
Yes. You can start as an individual and get paid into your own bank account. As your revenue grows, check the rules for registering a household business and filing taxes.
